Midwifery Supported Facilities

Explore Oklahoma hospitals and birth centers that incorporate midwifery care into pregnancy, birth, and postpartum services. This directory highlights facilities where midwives are part of the maternity care team.

Services and availability change frequently. We list locations rather than individual staff — please contact each birth center or hospital directly to confirm current midwifery services.

FOR CONSUMERS

Birth Center Accreditation

Birth Center Accreditation is a voluntary process that demonstrates a birth center's compliance with nationally recognized standards for quality and safety. The Commission for the Accreditation of Birth Centers (CABC) is the national accrediting body for freestanding birth centers. Currently, Oklahoma has no CABC-Accredited birth centers.

PLANNING FOR CARE

Payment & Insurance Information

Payment and insurance coverage for midwifery services may vary based on the type of provider, practice setting, health plan, and individual circumstances. In hospital settings, Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) are typically integrated within healthcare systems and may participate in Medicaid and commercial insurance networks through the hospital or healthcare organization.

For out-of-hospital care, including home birth and birth center services, contact your midwife directly to discuss fees, payment arrangements, insurance coverage, and reimbursement options specific to your care.
